Because of the development of hydroelectric, The government turn off the water from flowing freely as naturally. So we went there just to eat lunch for a bit and just leaving because there is no water to enjoy. The place was very hot because there was some rock and little water.

This is the place to be on a hot day. The water at the rapids moves fast, it´s fresh and crispy and loads of fun! You can rent a hammock shelter by the rapids for small money, there´s food/drink and fruit stalls, aaaaand you can rent tubes to slope down the river. Go early and spend the day there with locals. If you are a female, remember to take a t-shirt and shorts for swimming, this is a local place.

Just a river with rocks in it. Splish. Splash. Splush. Nothing spectacular unless you enjoy watching locals trying to swim, etc. Lots of dogs around and it will cost $2 to enter the area. I can make more interesting rapids in the shower. Only $1 if anyone wants to see.

The place claims to be a "natural" attraction but there remains very little natural about it. The Chinese operators, enemies of nature, of the hydro power infrastructure have stripped the high banks of the mountains up from the water and planted some sort of trees ... the natural forest looks much nicer. Also, at the two check points selling tickets into the place, the operators are very likely to offer a discounted entry price. Foreigners are 2 dollars, and you will get a ticket. If they offer you a 5,000 riel discounted entry fee, and no ticket, the money goes into their pockets and not into the system which one would assume is paying for cleaning and upgrades etc etc. I have nothing against people making a living, but do have a problem with being charged extra for being a foreigner and seeing that money simply go into someone's picket.
