My husband and I first did a class
last October while on our honeymoon and each made a mug. We loved it so much, we went back the other day and were able to create a new piece. My husband made a bowl and I made a vase. Everyone there is so kind and welcoming! We have made this a tradition, every time we go to Gatlinburg now, we will make our own pottery!

What can I say....just great beautiful pottery at fair prices. Staff and owner Mike are always friendly with some great stories. His pottery class is a must!

Mike Fowler the owner greeted us. He was very nice and knowledgeable. We had an appointment for a class and were "asked what do you want to make and what glaze do you want?" Which I wasn't expecting since I figured it was going to be very generic but it wasn't. We had a great instructor that understood I was a total novice. Once you make what you want, (cup, mug, small bowl or small container) they will do all the other steps and ship the final product in about 8 wks. If you need items for gifting they have pieces for sale too. A very enjoyable experience.

We had to change our recent vacation destination from Hilton Head (due to Hurricane Irma) to Gatlinburg. We were looking for a new experience and signed my Husband and I up for the pottery class. (He went along to be a good sport---and really enjoyed the experience).

Meg was a great teacher! Personable, gave a visual demonstration, and then guided us each step of the way to making our own coffee mug! It made us want to take more advanced classes from this experience!

We are excited to receive our mugs (in 6 to 8 weeks)! Thanks Fowler Clay Works!
