If you are interested in pottery, this establishment is worth a look. There are three and a half large rooms of pottery, anything from apple bakers, mugs, lamps, Rebekah pitchers, and many other types of pottery. They will ship as well. Often, potters are on the premises. These potters have even done special orders for us. This is one of our favorite places on craftsmen row.
Have been loyal customers and fans of Alewine Pottery for many years! Quality, beautiful, handcrafted pottery at its best!
We always visit here for a memento to remember our trip. They have the most beautiful and unusual pottery I have ever seen and the prices are not bad considering the detail that goes into each piece. Some of the pieces are useable and not just to look at which I like . You need to visit the Arts and Crafts loop as we call it because there are a lot of unusual shops that you won’t see anywhere else.
Signature pottery, great coffee cups, Free popcorn. There was a nice couple playing bluegrass music while we visited on a Sunday You can find them on the Craft Loop just outside Gatlinburg
This is my favorite pottery shop in Gatlinburg. I love the maple leaf that they repeatedly use through their pottery. I was interested in a piece but the one they had on display had glaze dripping over the leaves. A nice woman went in the back and brought out all she had. Very nice quality work.
We make a trip every year and we always stop in to Alewine's. We started collecting a piece (sometimes 2...) a year, and every year I swear I'm just going to stop and look and we have enough. Every year I come home with another piece. Just beautiful pieces, friendly family service, love the performances outside and my son loves to watch Mr. Alewine sit and make pieces right in the shop. It's a must stop in Gatlinburg!
