Everyone needs to see this National park. Even after all the glaciers melt within the next 30 years, there is still so much beauty. The glaciers are only the tip of the iceberg (no pun intended). You will see sweeping views 360 degrees all around you everywhere you go. It’s hard to take a bad picture here! I would recommend staying in the park if you can, but make sure to get reservations way in advance (at least a year) as places fill up fast. There aren’t too many roads here so it’s relatively easy to see all the top spots in the park in one trip.

I am a Montana resident and have been visiting Glacier for many years. I decided to take an overnight trip to Kalispell and drive through the park and return home the next day. After spending $300 on a hotel room along with gas prices, I was then turned away at the parks entrance because I didn't have a "reservation"! This is absolutely ridiculous! This is the last time I visit this park. I know I'm just one person, but I witnessed multiple vehicles being turned around for the same reason. Who knows how many on a daily basis get denied access. Try posting information a little better huh?

We spent three nights in this park and went on two day hikes. First one was to Snyder lake and second to Avalanche Lake. Going to the Sun road was closed from Avalanche campground. Trail to the Snyder Lake was perfect with sunny weather with beautiful views to surraunded mountains. We stayed at the lake for a while because there was plenty of mosquitos. Second trail to Avalanche lake was also nice but weather was changed to rainy day. We went on a trip trough it and it worth it. Nice views from lake and nice trail according to the river. Afternoon weather was better and we could see some peaks of Glacier park. Really beautiful park.
