this is a big park with one of the coolest fountains I've ever seen. It is very different, and right in the old district, accessible via a trolley stop.

I lived adjacent to this park for years. It is open, friendly, and teaming with young people. The grounds are well kept — though not in any way exquisite — and the farmers market is well worth visiting, even if the excellent little cafe we enjoyed so often has now closed. The fountains is an absolute must-see and will not disappoint,

But ...

Do not, under any circumstances, go out into or around the park at night. Savannah in general, and Forsyth’s Park in particular, is far more dangerous than the tourist board would have you believe.

I visited this picturesque park at the conclusion of my time in Savannah. This park is gorgeous and one can’t help but feel a bit more at peace. The park is lively and the fountain is beyond compare. I only wish I could have visited on a Saturday morning so that I could have enjoyed its market!

This is a large park in Savannah but not huge. It is beautiful and beautifully maintained. Don't miss it if you want to truly experience Savannah. It's easy to take your time and see in an hour or so. It's a flat walk. It may be hot so dress comfortably and drink water, although I do recall a fountain or two. I believe there is a public restroom but it may not be open all day. Wander around then sit a while and watch Savannah, tourists and locals alike, flow past you. I'd return again in a heartbeat.

We were here on a Saturday, when they were holding the farmers market. A little bit of everything, frisbees, sunbathing, book reading, trees, trees and more trees. Can’t wait to live near here
