Very near Grand Central, Fifth Avenue and the Chrysler building. Central Park is within walking distance however was quite a long way. The rooms were very comfortable and the view of New York 31 floors up was great. You can also see the Chrysler building from the room windows. Next door to the hotel is a cafe called Sandwicherie of New York which offers delicious sandwiches, salads, soups, breakfast etc. Very convenient. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room was very dusty, dust on drinking glasses, lamps, tables etc tea, coffee supplies never refilled only one tea bag! Beds made towels and toiletries supplies topped up daily. Staff friendly and helpful.

Only one problem, the internet was not set up in the meeting room. However, it was quickly set up upon request. The food was good and served at the time requested. The room was very comfortable. Everything I needed was in the room.

Pros:
-Location if you don't mind the sheer insanity of downtown
-Nice workout area
-Rooms are decent
-You can get a microwave/fridge
-Super close to a 24/7 CVS and 99c Pizza

Cons:
-Even though it states that SPG members get free wifi-- they don't. Wifi costs $14.95 a day which is utterly ridiculous. I informed a staff member of the fact that I was staying for 15 nights and asked if something could be worked out, especially since I'm an SPG member. I was brushed off and told that wifi was only for platinum members. Really disappointed about this one
-Lobby is usually very crowded- especially at night
-Elevators are slow and will probably take your arm off
-Very loud, both inside and out.
-Most of the front staff is rude and unwilling to help
-Tub coating was peeling

Room Tip: Get a room facing 42nd on a lower floor for access to a free NYC link wifi spot. I was rm x12. It connected as far in as my bathroom.

The lady on reception was very helpful sorting an early room for us when we arrived from an early flight but still had to pay $100. Rooms were pleasant and beds comfortable. Eating in very expensive. Over £100 for breakfast for a 2 adults and 3 children. Tips expected everywhere but what took the biscuit was the man that asked for a tip just to unlock the luggage hold door after we have dragged all of our luggage there ourselves and he just literally unlocked the door. He was so rude and asked for the money for doing nothing. Very noisy at night due to all the mad and arrogant yellow taxi drivers bibbing all night.
