I have eaten here twice. They open at 10:30 on the weekends. They do not take reservations. You may have to wait in line for a bit but it is well worth it! They have wonderful bloody Mary's. They also had the best eggs Benedict I have ever eaten.

Stared at the bar as we waited for our table to be ready. The bartender was super . friendly and helpful in helping us decide what cocktails and dinner wine to select. He really knew his stuff. The four of us sat down with the intent of trying a wide variety of items on the menu. Everything was fantastic....the super hits were the fried borek, radishes with butter, all the mains and the plums on toast were to die for.....who knew something so simple could taste SO good.

I'd give it 3.5-4.0. The service was good and friendly, but for the higher price bracket, the food a little disappointing. The chicken was ok - it was basically a half roast chicken, but for $24 you expect more: it was slightly undercooked and chewy round the bone (the dish doesn't come with a side - so for more interest to your dish, add $10). The salsa verde was tasty but there was a lot of oil on the plate. The eggplant side was tasty if a bit expensive for a roasted eggplant in olive oil at $9.
Good marks however for the cute atmosphere and service. I came here on the recommendation from a friend - but I think that was for the brunch menu and not dinner. I might pop in for brunch, but probably not for dinner again sadly.

I was in New York in August 2017 after a few weeks in Boston. Prune was the best restaurant in both cities. Cool atmosphere without unnecessary formalities and refinements. Good service, cordial and informal. And the most important, great food and drinks. I recommend the rabbit ... experience to be repeated.

2 of us had Sunday brunch here. arrived around 11:30 and only about 10 minute wait. Very crowded and loud, but they make the most of the space.
The eggs benedict, lamb sausage and potato rosti were all outstanding. Best eggs benedict I ever had - classic yet perfectly executed. Potatoes were great but needed salt which you have to ask for. The omelette was fine, nothing special. The ricotta was good, but the scone like things served with it were very dense. My only real complaint is that they charge $3 for coffee and don't give even one free refill - I would expect a coffee refill with Sunday brunch. Also, they serve the coffee with milk - if you want half-and-half ask for it and they happily deliver.
