This department store is absolutely Humongous, 10 floors high, packed with all sorts of products and clothing.
A shoppers paradise, give it a whirl.

If they cannot help they walk away, rude staff, only interested if they can ream you for more money. Toys not on sale other than at Christmas. Just like the department stores in the UK, the sales people stand looking you up and down as you walk through. Stores like this are becoming, or are already, irrelevant.
A bunch of us stopped here to check it out while we were in town. It is an absolutely huge department store, consisting of 10 floors. You can find almost any brand you are looking for. The old wooden escalators are an interesting sight also. Shopping there is fun and a little overwhelming.
It’s THE PLACE for the shopping freaks. It is a huge store (I guess 10 to 11 floors) with almost all big brands available. They have all the different kinds of products that you can think of may it be cloths, accessories, cosmetics, baby products, footwear, perfumes, bags, and much more. It is so huge that they even have accommodated eateries within the store. They have Subway to Starbucks and much more to satisfy your stomach before you go satisfied with your shopping. It is very clean and well maintained and the staffs are helpful as well. A must visit store for a life size shopping experience.
Macy's Herald Square is the stuff of legends but not necessarily for those who are serious about a quality shopping experience.
When you walk in, you're bombarded by associates trying to get you to test new scents; too many and the scents are too close to differentiate (men and women).
In the regular departments, it takes forever to get the attention of an associate, as they're short staffed for the masses of people needing assistance.
Their clearance departments especially shoes (called Last Act) are an unparalleled upheaval and chaos no one should be subject to. They have 1 (on a good day) 2 clerks taking your size request among many who have no regard for courtesy or consideration. However, the plus was an associate named Nicole who remained calm, professional and patient even with sometimes as many as 20 women asking for 2 and 3 shoes at a time.
While you may want to visit the largest store in the US, you may want to simply walk through and observe; you'll probably get better service, offerings and selections at your local Macy's.
Huge department store, with all the shopping you will need.
Most brands available, with good discounts always, most of the time more cheaper than the individual stores in the city.
Places to eat in-store, from Pizza and McDonalds, etc.
Subway station is just outside.
Free WIFI.
