Where where you when the apollo program was underway. This site took you back in time to when all was important . The Space Race.... Had to admire the recognition given to all those who had participated in human endevours in space from the first USSR sputnik and man in space right through to the current days initiatives. Great visit

If you have any interest in the space this is a great spot for you! It’s affordable and well laid out. It literally takes the whole day to see it all without the extras. There have tons of exhibits that are interesting, educational, and very fun for everyone. They have rockets and the actual Space Shuttle Atlantis on sight. We also did the private tour bus that take you around the complex. So many things to do, our group had an amazing time. We will definitely recommend this place and will be visiting again soon!

We've not been to Orlando in many years, had a free place to stay so we came for a week. My only regret perhaps might be not visiting KSC three days because one day is not nearly enough.

If you do nothing else in the Orlando area this is a must see. The bus trips were so informative and while in the Apollo Saturn Center we ended up with our own docent for about 15 minutes . . . it was really cool to get the inside on launch and recovery of these missions.

We went with friends from the area that retired from NASA and really lucky to be there at this time of the year as not crowded and plenty of time to see everything without lines of people. We had been here years ago but they have really done a fabulous job of expanding and improving this Amazing place! You can now see the new rockets being launched and see what is coming soon in our future! Wheelchairs are available to rent for elderly as there is a lot of walking.

We were fortunate to not only choose the Cape Canaveral Early Space tour on our recent visit but even more fortunate to have Robert Graveline as one of our hosts.

We purchased tickets ahead of time and were able to print them at home. The ticket gave clear and correct instructions regarding checking in at the Information building before entering the park. We presented ID and our information was logged because the tour would take us on to the active Cape Canaveral Air Force base. The process was quick and the person taking our information also gave us valuable advice regarding which exhibits and movies we should not miss before and after our tour.

First, we viewed the IMAX 3D movie Journey to Mars. It was excellent.

Our tour tickets were timed and our bus left right on schedule. For the next 3 hours we toured many of the early launch sites and memorials that are being constructed for the astronauts that launched at different pads. We got on and off the bus several times, walked the launch pads, took pictures, etc.

The highlight of the tour was led by Robert Graveline who took us through the viewing block houses in original condition while telling some marvelous tales of his personal experiences while working for many, many years at Kennedy Space Center, the people he knew, the work he did, the launches he witnessed, etc.

After the tour, we were able to visit the new Saturn IV/Atlantis Space Shuttle exhibit with many displays, simulators, hands-on experiences, etc. Definitely a “do not miss”.

Two notes:
You can easily spend two full days at KSC.

If you would like to write a very interesting book, seek out the tour guides, especially Robert Graveline, and document their extraordinary experiences at this home of our “space race”.
