I have checked into thousands of hotels and this place gets it, from the moment you check in til the moment you check out. No detail has been missed, even the bedside - truly bedside - outlets with USB ports to charge your phone.
It's all about the details! Thank you so much for sharing about your visit and recognizing even the smallest details that we have available for our guests. We look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Great hotel. I travel a lot for work and this is one of my most favorite hotels to stay anywhere. If you are going to San Diego this is a great place to stay. They even have a turn down service at night

The Pendry has it all. Well appointed rooms, great location so that walking to "must see" areas is doable. There are restaurants that meet all budget requirements plus a bar, nightclub and pool. Staff is quick to help and available when needed.
Thank you for staying at Pendry San Diego and sharing your review. I'm thrilled that you enjoyed our staff's service, room accommodations, and dining options. I hope we have a chance to welcome you back soon!

Attended a convention in San Diego and was booked at Pendry for about a week. Hotel was located at the Gaslamp Quarter and was walking distance from the convention center as well as the trolley (about 3 blocks). Overall look of the hotel was charming, modern but comfortable and very pretty (took a lot of instagram photos). Since it was in the Gaslamp Quarter, restaurants and shops were just steps away. The hotel also had its own resturant (Provisional) and bar, in case you'd rather not walk out.
Rooms were spacious. Booked the deluxe with two queen beds and it was very lovely. Decor, like in the public spaces, were very nice. Be careful, however, in booking this hotel if you intend to share it with someone you are not comfortable getting close with (i.e if you decide to share the room with a not-to-close friend during conventions) as the shower is separated from the bedroom by 3 walls of glass (they provided a curtain to close it but that's about it). Very nice to look at but not very private.
We were jetlagged when we arrived and slept in until 11 pm. Thankfully, a late night menu was available for room service so we did not have to go hungry. But some resturants in Gaslamp quarter are also remain open until late hours so one can also opt to eat out if they arrive/ decide to eat late. In case you decide to buy groceries or foods that need refrigeration, their ref is computerized and taking anything out of it to make space for sodas and what not will automatically reflect on your bill. If you need to use a refrigerator, one can call the front desk to have a traditional ref brought up.
Breakfast is not complimentary although we did get a voucher for the on-site restuarant Provisional. It was not buffet style, however.
Overall, hotel was very nice and I enjoyed my stay. Service was topnotch. Turn down service every night included complimentary macarons, yum
