I recently spent two nights in Boston while my mother was having major surgery at Mass General. The Boxer was in the perfect location: within walking distance of the hospital which is why I chose to stay there. I walked back and forth several times per day in only about 8 minutes. Going out of the hotel in the other direction brought me to many other great Boston locations where I could get some air and stretch my legs. The hotel staff was all very friendly. I had contacted the hotel ahead of time to say I would be checking my mother in to MGH at 9 am and heading to the hotel after to drop off my bags. I was shocked to find that they had my room ready at that point! I was able to settle right into my room and put in a full day of work while she was in surgery. The room was small but lovely. It has everything I needed and was very quiet, clean and comfortable. The food on the property was delicious and the minibar was well stocked with drinks and snacks. There were also MANY other food and beverage options within walking distance. The only slight negative was how far of a walk the parking garage was for the hotel (5-10 mins depending on how fast you walk).
