We stayed for 4 nights between 27th-31st August 2015.
* Location
--------------------
Hotel is in a fairly accessible location – No more than 5-10 min walk to back bay station, the theatre district, Copley Square/Prudential Tower/Copley Mall and CVS convenience store.
We felt that the eating options outside of the hotel were somewhat limited to either chains or high end/expensive dining, with little inbetween that we could find anyway. One handy breakfast location was Flour bakery which is in the street behind the hotel.
* Facilities & Room
--------------------
The hotel itself is very modern and appears well maintained, clean and welcoming, with air conditioning throughout. Just off the main lobby is a lounge area with complimentary hot beverage machine (Tea, Coffee, hot chocolate, Lattes etc) - the rooms do not have tea/coffee makers so if you’re a caffeine addict, this is where you go!
We were impressed with the room. It is a good size – not enormous by any means but far from tiny, as it housed a comfortable king sized bed (think super-super-king in the UK) with nightstands, an armchair and desk area, with new widescreen TV and a complimentary in built fridge (godsend!) which worked exceptionally well.
The bathroom was clean and fairly modern, with heated towel rail and nifty motion sensor controlled under sink lighting (perfect for the bleary eyed middle of the night shuffle to the bathroom where you don’t want to turn the...We stayed for 4 nights between 27th-31st August 2015.

The bathroom was clean and fairly modern, with heated towel rail and nifty motion sensor controlled under sink lighting (perfect for the bleary eyed middle of the night shuffle to the bathroom where you don’t want to turn the full light on). It’s a perfectly functional bathroom that should meet everyone’s bathrooming needs.
Extra amenities included iron, board, dressing gowns, powerful hairdryer, safe and so on. All in all, a well kitted out room that we found to be very comfortable after a hard day of sightseeing and/or shopping.
The rooms and hotel have complimentary wifi that worked well, although we didn't test it extensively, but found it more than adequate for light browsing, Facebook etc.
The hotel has a fitness centre (that we didn’t use) and a business centre that can be accessed to print boarding passes etc, but was undergoing a renovation while we stayed there. Fortunately, the very helpful receptionist checked us in, printed out our passes and confirmed our pick up. Reception also has a luggage scale so that you can check your cases before leaving (and give you peace of mind to avoid any nasty surprises/charges at the airport). We couldn’t fault the service we received throughout our stay.
* Restaurant
--------------------
We will be writing a separate review for the hotel’s restaurant (Precinct Kitchen and Bar) but to give it a brief mention, we were pleasantly surprised with it, with lovely indoor and outdoor seating areas and we found the dinner menu to be comparatively far better value than other resturants in the area – The steak frites was around $27 vs other restaurants where steaks started at $40+. The food was beautifully cooked, tasted fantastic and the staff were pleasant. Would recommend for dinner! Breakfast was a bit pricey, but we cannot comment further as we didn’t have breakfast in the hotel.
* Summary
--------------------
We enjoyed our stay at Loews. The location worked well for us as everything we wanted was easily accessible, the room was comfortable and the staff were very pleasant. We would happily stay here again if we returned to Boston and would recommend it to anyone!More
