Overall, when it comes to special occasion stays, I always worry whether or not it'll be a good experience but Brian (GM) and the team (Shirley & Liz) made this a memorable experience for my husband and I, so for that I would highly recommend.

Check-in: We checked in on a Friday evening and it was a little busy with only one front desk agent available for check in but the wait was not longer than 5 minutes for us to be helped. We made sure to use the "social password" for Kimpton and were able to score a $20 raid the bar credit!

Hotel Room: We were in 1805 which was a Corner King with a skyline view and it was an amazing view that the pictures do not do justice for how great it is. The Eames chair in the room was nice accent to the room. The bathroom was very modern and updated with marble, which I really appreciated.

Service: Absolutely incredible! Everyone was accommodating and friendly, also acknowledged the special occasion we were celebrating and welcoming us as it was our first time in Boston.

Gym: The gym was a bit lacking here but included all the basic equipment to get a workout done. I would've liked to see a set of 5 lb weights on the weight rack, but not too big of a deal.

Thank you Brian, Shirley, and Liz for making this experience so amazing! Highly recommend this property if you are visiting Boston.

Honestly, i'd pass. I thought the hotel would be a lot nicer than it was. I get what it was trying to do with the rooms, but they were so dark and poorly lit it felt like an obstacle course and our room was dirty as well. The vent in the bathroom was covered in caked on dust, the tables could have used a wipe as well. Biggest issue was the shower leaked like crazy and leaked all the way around the bathroom through the bottom of the shower door. It created a crazy safety hazard and you could see staining on the floor and shower tile from where the leak was taking place. Also, i paid for a room which also had a desk for working from, no desk to be found and when i brought it up to the manager at front desk "some rooms are different"... ok? I did email my concerns through their survey and just got back a generic message, which i expected. What i should have gotten was a discount on a room with a safety hazard and not furnished as advertised. I'm in Boston a fair bit and was hoping this would be a good spot to land each time, i'm thinking no.

Room tip: Great location, but look around the area.

This is one of the best city centre hotels I have stayed in the US. It's in a perfect location close to Boston Common and most of the other things we wanted to see, plus a nearby subway stop for anything more distant. The rooms are tasteful and ours was impeccably clean with a great view over the city. The staff were lovely, not just those in the restaurant and on reception but the cleaners too. There are numerous good restaurants nearby to tempt you out so we didn't eat in the hotel except breakfast, but that was excellent. The fitness room could be a bit bigger if I wanted to be picky, but apart from that I can find no fault with it. if I get back to Boston (yes please, great city) I will stay here again.

Room tip: Ask for a city view

I stayed here with my two teenage daughters for a quick get away. We all loved the hotel and the location. It was very clean and comfortable and little details made it very special. The Eames chair was fabulous as well!

This hotel is a terrific location to see so much in Boston. From the Holocaust memorial to the Isabela Gardener museum it was so easy to get around. There were plenty of restaurants close by. The service was lacking. We had, when we booked the room, requested a high floor away from the elevator. There were 16 floors, we got the 5th floor, next to the elevator. We are diamond elite IHG members and there was no mention of this for our points. There was no coffee in the room or downstairs when we went down. When asking questions at the desk we were not helped. Service is the most important thing to give your guest. We were here three nights and left happy with Boston but disappointed with this hotel.
