First impressions of the area the hotel was in wasn't great. It's opposite a large hospital and certainly isn't in a touristy part of town. After 24 hours though we quickly realised that Boston is a pretty much small city and everything was pretty much within walking distance, and the area seemed to be very safe.
The hotel itself is fine as you would expect from a Hilton property, reception staff were very friendly and efficient, the bar staff I found to be a little abrupt, however they got the job done. There seems to be strange hours in the bar, as we were on holiday we'd been out most of the morning and afternoon. My wife wanted to go back to the hotel to rest and freshen up before we went out for dinner, so being a typical man I viewed this as an opportunity for a sneaky beer. I went to the bar a 4.10pm on a Tuesday and although there was a bartender there, I was informed that the bar didn't open till 5pm (seriously, I'm Irish, I like a pint a bar not opening till 5pm is just something we can't comprehend). I also noticed coming back on the Monday that the bar wasn't open again it was late afternoon.
The rooms are an excellent size, with very comfortable beds, although the rooms were large the bathrooms were tiny in comparison, though this wouldn't put me off as basically in most instances as long as there's a reasonable shower you're good.
Personally I was happy with the hotel and the staff, wouldn't say I was overjoyed, but I would say this hotel would be much better for the business traveller rather than the tourist.
