We stayed at Langham this past weekend Oct 12-14, 2018. We are local, but like to escape from the kids sometimes and have an adult only weekend in the city. This particular weekend, the prices seemed much higher than what I would expect them to be. We payed about $500 per night.

It was hard to see why this hotel is rated so highly. A few things worth mentioning:
- Very outdated. The furnishings are old and they show the wear and tear. The rooms/bathrooms are very outdated, too.
- Only has ONE restaurant/bar during the evenings, the Bond restaurant. We stopped by on Friday night just to check it out, but had reservations elsewhere. We asked what hours it's open and told the host that we'll be back tomorrow. When we came back the next day, this only restuarant/bar in the hotel was closed for a private party. This was hard to understand as they appeared to have function rooms and the host didn't mention anything the night before. It was rainy outside and we really hoped to be able get a bite and a few cocktails at the restaurant. They made the lobby into a "bar", but nothing was available. I asked for coffee at 10 pm and was told that the coffee machine was "closed for the night". When we complained to the front desk, there was no apology, no sympathy, just yes, we sometimes close the restaurant. In all honesty, I would have probably booked another hotel, if I knew that the only on site restaurant would not be available, as the hotel is sort of in the middle of nowhere in the city and you have to walk to get anywhere. Things are close, but when it rains outside, you want certain amenities to be available on site, so that was very disappointing.
- The hotel is very small, the lobby is small with very low ceilings, feels almost clastorfobic.
- The pool is small but nice. I enjoyed the small sauna, too.
- Bathrobes and slippers are nice

All in all, I'll never stay here again, there are MANY other choices available in Boston that are much much better. We stayed at the Intercontinental before and it's a hundred times better. Other hotels in the area are better, too.

Just left Boston after a 2 night stay at the Langham Boston. Arrived late on Friday and was greeted by Jim at the front desk, who quickly took care of us. The staff was very friendly and the room was perfect. The hotel itself is upscale and historical, it has a nice bar and piano longe.

We did not rent a car so we took the Blue Line from the airport and got off at the “State” St. stop which is only a five minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is located in the businesses district, just a few minutes walk from Faneuil Hall or the Boston Commons.

This is a great hotel for the price and the quality of the staff, I would highly recommend it to anyone staying in the downtown Boston area.

Rooms are definitely outdated and worn out, but the bed was comfortable. Service was mediocre, minibar was not filled up, only after specific request. Room service plates, glasses etc kept lingering in the hall overnight and good part of the day. Personnel is friendly, polite and ready to assist. All in all, to expensive in my view for what is offered. Location is good but depends on what you’re here for, although most is on a walking distance.

Only spent 2 nights here which was not really long enough. The hotel was a little disappointing as we had expected a bit more luxury. However the room was good, the buffet breakfast excellent, if a little pricey, and the staff were helpful. Good location although a bit quiet at night and over a weekend.

The housekeeping staff love slamming doors. The mattresses are from1970. Awefully hard beds. Spend a dime Langham! Location is not ideal if you are a tourist and looking to be near lots of restaurants and historic sites.
