If anyone cares to read my previous review you will see that things did not go right last time I stayed here, but I have to say that this time everything was truly excellent. As a Mandarin Oriental junkie I've stayed at many of their hotels across the world, and Boston lived up to all the brand's standards. Everyone on the team I met was helpful, efficient, caring and friendly. The room was beautiful, with the expected fantastic beds, linen and pillows. Will happily return to the Boston MO when next in the city. This time it's an F for Fantastic!

The hotel was beautiful, the room impeccable. The staff made us feel welcome and special. A perfect place to celebrate our 20th anniversary. My husband and I didn't want to leave! Very highly recommended.

Arrived at 3 pm and our room wasn't ready, the staff was polite but not particularly helpful or gracious. They held our bags and when we came back for our room the person at the front desk had no idea about our luggage. Finally we found it our room but nobody even showed us upstairs to our room or to answer any questions we might have. The room was beautiful and such a great bed, but there's no option to just turn on a small light in the bathroom to go there in the middle of the night.
Next morning at breakfast they got things wrong 3 times, took forever and again not particularly gracious.
For the amount of money one pays here, the guest deserves a lot more.

My wife and I celebrated our 52nd anniversary at the Mandarin Oriental. The accommodations are as fine as anywhere that I have stayed, and I travel all over the country and stay at the top-rated hotels. The service is attentive, the aesthetics of the room are excellent, and the food is great.

My wife and I were booked into the Mandarin Oriental for 2 nights. The Hotel is in bay bay. The hotel itself is beautiful and service begins as soon as you arrive. The valet person was very helpful and took possession of our car and arranged for our bags to be brought up to the room. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bathroom was large with an oversized tub, private toilet area and big shower. We had a sitting area, work desk and large flat screen television. I was treated to a facial at the SPA and the experience was a good one. The hotel is one short block from Newberry street which is bustling with restaurants and shops. I will return again when I next visit Boston.

Room tip: Upper flow room with view if possible
