I travel weekly for business so I come in contact with many people in the hospitality industry The doormen at the Fairmont are the most considerate and hard working guys that I have encountered in many years. They hustled to help with bags, and getting cabs, and storing bags across the huge lobby at all hours during my recent stay. Thank you Arthur and the rest of your staff, your kindness was greatly appreciated. I would still be trying to flag down my own cab with out you!

Room tip: you may want to ask about how far your room is from the elevators

Stayed here 4 nights on business. I checked in tired and a little grouchy having not been able to get into my group's block of rooms. Tin at the front desk handled my concerns expertly, taking care of what he could then and following up with me the next day for the rest. The hotel is quite grand and the rooms were very comfortable, but the staff is what makes it amazing. To a person, I felt that every staff member met me at my needs and let me have the experience I wanted that day. No review would be complete without a mention of Carley, the sweet black lab. She was the perfect stress relief and the end of each day!

We had a wonderful overnight at the Fairmont Tuesday night. Our dog LOVES to stay too. She especially likes to see Carley!!
Upgrading to the Gold level is well worth it. The staff is wonderful!!! Afternoon cocktails and yummy snacks are served in the beautiful gold level lounge. A wonderful breakfast is also served every morning.

Public spaces are formal. Beautiful if a bit of aging is apparent. Room was small but well appointed. Nice shower and excellent wi-fi. Connected to Oak Long Bar, a convenient spot for any meal. Don't miss the works on paper in the side hall. I wonder if they were real-Picasso, Calder, Dali, Miro

Staff was impeccable

Recommend strongly although it wasn't the most convenient spot since my meeting was at the convention center on the waterfront.

I am happy to see you appreciated our opulent lobby spaces - including the vintage lithographs that are signed by world-renowned artists. Although we are 1.8 miles away from the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center, we are just a few steps away from all the exciting attractions in the heart of Back Bay, including the Hynes Convention Center. We held our daughter's wedding reception at this glorious and historical hotel, and booked a block of rooms for ourselves and our guests. From top to bottom, this hotel is a class act. Our suite was elegant, and fashionably decorated, and the staff was so accommodating it was ridiculous. The reception was in the Grand Ballroom, which is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful public rooms in the United States. So many of our guests declared that it was the most gorgeous wedding reception they had ever been to. Wedding Specialist and Catering Manager Alice Fay is a brilliant event planner with exquisite taste, who knew what the bride wanted and needed without being asked. Everything was absolutely perfect, thanks to her.

Room tip: Corner suites are large and sunny; ask for rooms on the outside perimeter of the hotel
