The initial room had housekeeping issues with a dirty loo and hair on the bed - this was changed on request The other room had a great view but terrible noise issue from the lift shaft and external construction Conveniently located with pleasant staff though!

Decent location (had business at BWH), clean room, nice bed. On the flip side, amenities are pretty Spartan and decor is dated. Price is high for what you get, but that's standard in Boston. Friendly staff. At the end of the day, though, nothing remarkable about it.

Upon arrival I was told that the deluxe king room I had booked was not available. I was given a standard room, which I was totally fine with, but did have to ask for the rate to be reduced from the deluxe to the standard rate.

The room itself seemed nice upon entry - the carpet, etc seems fairly updated. The bathroom had black mold along the shower - which is something I have not seen at a Hilton before. The bed was not at all like other Hilton family hotels I have stayed at - it was very uncomfortable, almost like the mattress topper was left off. This topped with the elevators, which weren't even right next to my room, causing noise throughout the night resulted in not so great sleep. Please note, I am a road warrior and it takes a lot to wake me up once I fall asleep.

The bar also closes fairly early.

The Hilton Back Bay, as compare to other hotels I've recently stayed at in Boston (Fairmont, Courtyard, Westin) was definitely a notch down in comfort and service.

It is a great hotel in a wonderful area of Boston. Convenient to my jobsite, and great restaurants all around. The views are all pretty good, although the construction around the Christian Science complex makes it an interesting place for cabs and cars.

Bedroom had leaking toilet water tank, extractor fan did not fail, main door lock failed, missing window lock. Small bathroom for superior hotel. Difficult to talk with Spanish speaking staff who did not understand English. Centre location key to staying at this hotel. New building going up opposite that will hinder any further views from two sides of hotel.
