The form fits in well with the surrounding Boston Harbor wharf buildings. But the interior layout and decor feels like the early '80s. The lobby is on the 2nd level and does not have a grand feeling or nice flow. The elevators actually open onto a hallway which leads to the reception. It is also difficult to discern where the lobby starts and the restaurant starts and the "M Club" starts and all end. They bleed into each other which makes for confusion at the M Club. Another peeve is that the M Club does not provide beer or alcohol during happy hour and it has to be purchased at the bar and brought into the club.
So the good. The rooms are clean, spacious with nice views. The location is in 5-15 minutes walking distance of the North End, Faneuil Hall, the Seaport District (lots of new restaurants and bars), Finance District, Chinatown and of course the waterfront attractions.More
