Nice, clean, scenic spot in the Colombia Gorge

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 6 Aug 2020
We stayed in an rv spot with a river view. The resort is very well maintained and the coves are nice. Good access to surrounding hikes and water activities and Stevenson is just down the road. I think the rate is reasonable. Be prepared for road and train noise

This property with RV camping sites and various lodging options is one of the most scenic places we have ever stayed. Our campsite overlooked the Columbia river with sailboats and kiteboards passing by. There are a couple of coves for swimming or launching a kayak or small boat. My boys loved the tree swing and spend hours pushing one other and enjoying this simple delight. My youngest son and is train buff and loved seeing all the trains that passed by. I could see that some may not appreciate the noise of the passing trains, but we enjoyed it. There is a little road noise during the day, but this really quieted down in the evenings so it was NOT like camping next door to a major freeway. The laundry room was closed due the pandemic so we were not able to use this. The tree house looks especially charming and I think my husband will hopefully make it back someday just to enjoy this for a romantic get-away.

I stayed for two nights in the treehouse. It’s located about one mile east of Stevenson Washington. I never saw anyone on the property. It’s close to highway and the railway tracks. You don’t here the road noise but the trains are more on a regular basis. The treehouse is very nice. It has its own bathroom and shower. It has a small table for eating and small kitchen area. It has a microwave and small sink. The bedroom is located in the loft. You climb a letter to reach the bedroom. There is a balcony with a nice view. The place was very clean and I look forward to coming back soon.

Room tip: book the treehouse in the winter when there are less people on the property.

We stayed in the bluff house. Very nicely constructed, beautiful well apportioned place. Would stay again. Relaxing and laid back. Good place to go wine tasting from. Some might not like the trains passing but adds to the ambience

These homes are absolutely beautiful! The views are amazing, and they have every amenity you would want. I love the full kitchen in the High House, it is so beautiful with everything you would want including dishwasher and full size stainless steel refrigerator. Love the private hot tub too. What a great place to relax and enjoy. Perfect getaway. A must see, must stay!

We had a wonderful visit! We stayed in the River house. It was perfect and clean and had everything you could want. I must mention the Adirondack chairs in the front porch - the best time of our visit was drinking coffee in these incredibly comfortable chairs with stunning sunrises. We never saw any people our whole stay - it was wonderfully private and romantic. We were greeted by a deer in the front yard when we got there and the morning we left a hummingbird flew right in front of us and stayed as if saying goodbye. This is one of those special places we will remember always and hope to get back to. Also - the toilet seat is heated! (Never knew what I was missing Lol) and there is a nice selection of books and games and the recliner in the living room is heavenly!! Loved this place.
