These are mainly residential apartments but some are offered as rentals. This review is for the Royal Sunshine Appartment offered through Air bnb.
Location - excellent, almost at the end of the main strip and 2 mins walk from the Aqua Park and the market which is on each Tuesday & Friday. Turn right and go to the top of the road for the start of the strip or left and down to the bottom of the road ( both lead to main strip)
Decor and amenities - fancy but with a few too many cushions, candles, hearts and shells which get in the way of living. No air con but a tower fan is supplied. Ground floor which makes it a little unsafe to open windows at night when sleeping and rooms get very hot. One bedroom has wardrobes but no mirror, the other has a mirror but only a hanging rail. Krupp’s coffee pod machine is handy but needs rescaling as it takes ages. Boiler in kitchen is leaking water onto sink area so leave a cloth at the back of the tap. Toilet drips constantly which is irritating. There is a washing machine which you will need as only one set of bedding provided so if you,re staying 2 weeks you may want to freshen it up. We had a slight issue with seeing tiny ants in the bedroom, just the odd one or 2 on the bedside cabinets but I may have gotten bitten at night as even with a plug in mozzy killer I had bites on my legs in morning. Overall a nice little apartment, host as helpful but it was a pain having to keep logging into Air bnb to send and see messages.
Good bits- best breakfast is at Retro bar at the end of the strip, great pasta and steak at La Mamma ( up the side of Don Pepe....incidentally don’t eat at don Pepe if you want good Mexican) best wood fired pizza at Viva ( down at the bottom of the strip at the start of the music square) do the Los Lobos explorer trip 45euro each but only 8 on a speedboat across with a guide who helps you to kayak and paddle board. There are cycles provided and snorkeling on the way back. Beer, water provided in the little fishing hut and the ‘captain’ cooks a delicious basic lunch. Some other trips say 15euro but you get dumped on the island on a large boat and no sports except sunbathing or walking. Aqua park is 25euro each and you can get food/ drink inside. Take the ferry across to Lanzarote for the day 29euro return. Take a walk up the beach to find the sunset lounge....amazing cocktails and chilled atmosphere....definitely worth the walk.
All in all Corralejo has something for everyone, just not sure i’d Stay in this appartment again.
Tip - tell any taxi driver to drop you off at oasis dunas which they recognize, ours didn’t understand where this appartment was , especially when you don’t even have an appartment number ( which incidentally is e207)
Just one final thing - this appartment is situated directly across from the hotel ‘Oasis Dunas. At 12.30 pm the staff recycle what sounds like 200 individual bottles into their bottle bank, at 4.45am the truck collects the bank and is LOUD. Then at 5.15 am the bin lorry arrives to empty the hotels rubbish.....take ear plugs if you like sleep !
