In simple terms the Mijas area and local golf is superb, so this hotel lives off the reputation of this so don't be fooled.
Yes, the photos of the rooms look amazing but in reality they are fish lenses so the rooms are about half the size, a bit worn out. Don't get me wrong, it had 3 showers, 2 bedrooms, a large balcony with central table and seating and there was room for a sofa so you could look out on fabulous views of the hills and Mijas golf. But that's where the good stuff ends,.. i ll explain.

Arrived, but no assistance with all our luggage, buggy and baby. We were told we can get a trolley, load our bags ourselves and push it to floor 6.
We booked a family suite with kitchen so we could prepare food for our little one..but the kitchen was totally empty. Not even a kettle or cups. All cupboards and drawers were bare.We were told you must buy a box of kitchen utensils!! So they entice you with good rates and fish lens images of the rooms with a kitchen but you have to pay for even a kettle. I have never stayed in a hotel in my life that didn't have a kettle!!!

We fancied a swim in the indoor pool with our baby...no couldn't do that either. it was €44 per person to use the pool, in the spa. That's £40 to swim..each!

We thought we d try the breakfast for €9 pp. it was so hot in the breakfast room as it had no AC yet they had eggs out, meats and bacon, milk, yoghurts. A sure fire way to grow some nice bacteria in 26degrees heat..so we left. The waiter seemed shocked that they couldn't put out such foods in the eat.

We went to the pool area which was nice. Some grass, trees, a footbridge to a bar.
A glass of Heineken, Fanta and 2 lollies was €12:50
A burger and fries €12 too. The guy behind the bar also was the waiter, so he'd leave whilst there were a people waiting to be served and go off to get the food that someone else had ordered previously. It was so annoying, he'd just walk off

Needless to say we spent little time here. If you re two guys and need a base to just sleep whilst you thump a golf ball about, it will suffice, else stay elsewhere.
It's not family friendly.

Nice environment and clean rooms, kitchen equipment however was very poor. better to use a restaurant outside the hotel, can recommend the Italian restaurant just across the hotel. Please avoid the coffee at the pool bar.

This place is pretty bad when it really doesn't need to be.
We visited due to a wedding being close by and were very disappointed.
It's barely staffed! The staff that are there seem unmotivated and overworked, but always very polite.
The pictures of this hotel look amazing but on arrival you will see it's a bit scruffy.
Also very out the way of everything, apart from the awesome Italian across the road.
We did self catering, you will however have to pay for every item needed for self catering, there's not even a coffee cup and spoon to make a drink. This box of bits thrown in a card box will be 15 euros.
The whole hotel doesn't have an iron or ironing board.
The breakfast might be the worst I've ever had! 9 euros gets you some pretty fowl warm items imitating sausages, bacon and egg. There was 1 coffee machine as the other was broken, plus the waiters speak zero English.
The cleaners on the other hand are impressive, every day the room was cleaned and prepared for our return, 1 day I left the safe open full of money and Electronics to find it all present and correct on my return.
The food by pool is equally terrible, the service painfully slow and the lager on tap some days on some days off.
This hotel could be really good with some minor changes, all of the above is unacceptable in this day and age.
I would avoid here and get yourself something in la calla by the boulevard, an Amazing place close by.

First part of this Malaga holiday in Costa Mijas we stayed at No 23. Clear joining instruction with a good standard home from Home. A car is needed for shops, bars and restaurants. Very hilly area with steep inclines. Excellent holiday location.

Really nice hotel. Shame the way our stay worked out (1 x stay) - could not indulge in a game of golf.

The staff were pleasant and bar service by the pool was great. Room was clean with all the basics.

Would like to go back one day and take full advantage of the hotel and the beautiful golf courses that surround this place.
