myself and my wife have recently returned from this resort in Mijas, Costa Del Sol.
On arrival we were given an upgrade to family room, which has 3 bedrooms and 2 balconies. this was a bit much for 2 people, but we went with it.
Apartment was very clean, two bathrooms and basic amities in the apartment.
We were a little disappointed that the TV was either Spanish or German!
Room service was only provided on one day, half way though our 1 week stay.
We had to pay for 1 weeks WIFI, which was about 35 euros for the week. We had a car, but wasn't happy to pay the extra 35 euros to park in the massive empty under ground car park. some parking is provided at the front of the resort, but not much and Spanish drivers love to take up 2 parking spaces for 1 vehicle!
The hotel has 3 pools. 1 for very small children, the next is for adults/ old children and then the main large pool.
the two main pools were VERY cold.
The resort didn't have any evening entertainment, but had a restaurant on site and a walk up pool bar/hut.
The hut and restaurant called "Scandals" is run and owned by an English couple. The pool bar opening times was very hit and miss, but the restaurant was good. Great tapas!!!
We did feel that the prices for the food were a bit over what we had expected, but Gale and Kevin are very welcoming.
The resort is a bit tired on the outside, which is in need of a paint brush. The maintenance man starts work about 08:30, so you are woken up by about 09:00!
They don't open up the pool area until about 10:30-11:00, unless you are Spanish, when you can talk your way in early to get a sun bed in the sun and avoid the shaded areas!
We felt that we really did need a car to get around. The nearest point to get to a beach would be about 20 minutes walk, but the beach we found wasn't very good and looked like a building site.
To get from Malaga Airport to the resort will cost to 80 euros each way via taxi.
we visited Gibraltar, Rhonda and went to the local super markets, which are close, if you have a car!
5 minute walk away was a line of restaurants, which were good and offered great food. These are all good, but you don't get a romantic view, as they all face onto a main road.

Overall- OK and would consider returning for a self catering holiday, but not until the place has had a face lift..

Old fashioned but relatively well maintained property.
Unfortunately, very little flexibility in demanding extra payments for WiFi and energy.
Some of the kitchen equipment did not work and was old fashioned.

I lasted reviewed this aparthotel over three years ago and was very pleased with it. I was back here for the past two weeks and it still produces the goods. The Reception staff are as good as ever, particularly Miguel and Lola. There is a new and very welcome addition in Francisco, who has come over from the Ona Alanda as the new head of the resort. He is excellent. The apartments are excellent, bright and spacious with super balconies. Updating has been ongoing and with Francisco in charge I would expect to see more changes. Scandals, the new stand-alone restaurant is very good (reviewed elsewhere by me) . Highly recommended and worth a visit

Nice place to stay. Every one very polite and all from the front desk very helpful. I would like to have special mention for the girl in the cafeteria I don't remember the name the one speaks Spanish she provided us an excellent service.

Room tip: Should replace all light bulbs with the save energy bulbs. Very poor lights
