We stayed for two nights at the end of May 2018. This was our second visit and once again we were more than happy. The rooms are fine (although some of the furniture could do with updating) and very reasonably priced. What really makes the hotel is its setting in mature grounds (with fine pool) and dining alfresco. Dinner in the old courtyard is an experience to be savoured. On both evenings (it was early in the season) we were the sole diners; it was like having our own private villa. The food is excellent and the service faultless and unobtrusive.

This hotel stands in a beautiful garden and when we went in June, the lilac jacaranda trees were in flower by the pool. The rooms are charming with pretty painted ceilings. We ate in both nights, the dinner the first night was better and the almond parfait was delicious. The second night the dinner was less memorable but the opportunity to sit in a lovely courtyard with large stone walls made up for it. A great place to stay to visit Selinunte which has an almost complete Greek temple with fabulous views of the sea

I was here in low season and restaurant was closed on the day; however, the owner was so nice to organize some food for me so I did no need to drive around to find a restaurant. The room was nice and comfortable as usual. I will be back next time I am in this area

Brilliant, friendly staff. Nice restaurant and the most incredibly generous breakfast all at an incredibly reasonable price. However, the rooms are dated and not 4 star quality. The setting around the hotel is lovely and is well placed for trips to the valley of the temples. Sciacca town, however, is not attractive with large estates of blocks of flats. Fortunately the hotel is in countryside surrounded by orange groves and peaceful. If you do stay, use goggle maps to find as TomTom had no clue where the hotel was.

This is a real find for those who seek hotels with character and a sense of tradition. Two miles and easily accessible from Sciacca, the hotel is a sensitively restored Baroque villa with many original features (the perfect antidote to modern plastic hotels) and lovely well-maintained mature grounds. Dinner ( we ate outside in the courtyard) was faultless and very reasonably priced. Excellent very helpful staff (especially the proprietor/manager for whom nothing was too much trouble). We wished we could have stayed longer and we will certainly return in the future.
