Stayed at Kunwar residency for couple of night , hotel is situated at the bank of ganga river with view of laxman jhula and famous temple in front . Food is very good and pocket friendly . All n all best budget friendly ganga view hotel in Rishikesh with great Vibes highly recommend .
I'n Nafsika Kokkota from Greece. We stayed with my husband for 20 days in kunwar residency (and another 15 days last year). It's an unique experience! The best view. Really like flying over the Ganges. Very clean and all the staff really polite and helpful. But best of all the manager Surya. He was always ready to help us in everything that we needed. We'll keep visiting this hotel the next years. We want to say a big thank you to Surya and all the staff.
Gorgeous location, beautiful & clean room and friendly staff. BUT, they fail to mention that they're basically BUILDING A HUGE EXTENSION at the moment. Angle grinders and electric drilling all day! Still charging a top rate for India makes one feel taken advantage of and not like a respected customer! I didn't come on vacation to feel like I am at the dentist all day!! Noise is causing stress! But in India nobody seems to care and Yoga is BIG BUSINESS in Rishikesh...
We were recently in Rishikesh and really enjoyed our stay at the Kunwar Residency. The view of the Ganges and temple was awesome and we could hear the nightly Arati from our room. The location was perfect and we ate at a little restaurant called the German Bakery right next to the hotel. They provided us with little space heaters since it was quite cold. They arranged for a day trip and helped us in many other ways.

The stay was pleasant and good. Had a decent time right across river shore. The staff was supportive and well behaved. Good ambience and nice atmosphere. Clean washrooms which is a big thumbs up. Overall a nice hotel to visit
