Mike is a master making cocktails. The menu and specials selection are good and the food is excellent. They offer some unique combinations. It is nice to have the option of a bistro (smaller) and traditional portion when ordering.

We had been at the North Hero House Inn for 3 days so we decided to try something different for our last night in Vermont. The Shores Acres Inn Restaurant was lovely. Nice, airy feel inside and wonderful wait staff who couldn't do enough to make you comfortable. Bartender made a perfect martini and a perfect manhattan and personally brought them to the table to make sure they were to our liking. Excellent salmon and filet. Just a lovely evening.

Nice friendly staff with a great location. The food was average with high quality price. There's not a lot of restaurant's in the area so they have a captive audience. I'm not saying the food was bad, just not as good as you would expect for the price.

We chose to try this place based on a recommendation from the place we were renting. The crab cakes were very small, but very good. After ordering a $28.00 bottle of wine and a $12.95 appetizer, we asked if we could split a traditional cut of seared pork tenderloin, but we were told that was not allowed and we would both have to order entrees. They allowed us to order an appetizer of PEI Mussels for $12.95, but they came with no bread. When we requested bread for dipping, we found out that the broth lacked any flavor as we were used to in Charleston, SC. The pork tenderloin was cooked to perfection, but the apple glaze was so sweet we had to scrape it away from the pork and mashed potatoes to eat any of it. For a $100.00 meal, with a tip, this was our most disappointing dinner of this road trip. We will not eat here again.
