Please do not listen to the other reviews that state it's not that bad.... Just got back from a week away with my boyfriend and it was our first holiday away together and it is safe to say we will never EVER be coming back to this hotel again.
We booked with TUI and it advertised as being a great place to go, with WiFi and air con included. Read some nicer reviews on here and thought the bad reviews may have just been a few people being picky....how wrong we were.
The hotel is tiny and rough looking with no working lift (not a problem for us but could be for other people). The drinks were ok but only started serving all inclusive drinks (soft drinks as well) at 11am. The food was extremely poor and was either stone cold or luke warm with a lovely film on the sauces and mashed potatoes. Some of the food was so bad we dared not eat it so had the bare minimum, a lot of it reminded me of school dinners (frozen and tinned veg). Which considering we paid for all inclusive we expected the food to be nicer. Some couples we spoke to said they went out to eat every night which can add up especially if you want to save your money for trips. Complete rip off!
The rooms are ok and spacious but depends on which one you booked. We booked a balcony room with pool side view, but it only comes with ceiling fans and no air con! We had to buy a fan and rent a air con unit just to survive the nights so another unnecessary expense (over 100 euros). We came in October so God only knows what people did in the summer. Apparently the studio or garden apartments had air con but everyone we spoke to had did not have many nice things to say about these rooms either.
Also expected free WiFi but only if you stay on the ground floor so if you are on the higher floors don't expect to chill out in your room and go on the internet. You will have to sit on their designated "chill out zone" consisting of a few grubby bean bags. If you want more access you have to pay 25 euros for the week! Yet again another expense!
Very disappointed with TUI for selling this hotel as part of their package deals. None of the the above was stated on the TUI site when booking - if we had known we would have avoided. The only good thing was the Siam Water park tickets which were included, but to be honest we would have rather booked somewhere nicer and forked out for the day tickets to the park. The hotel was not worth the hassle.
The staff were very friendly and hard working, keeping everything clean and tidy. The kitchen staff also were ok but clearly only knew how to shove stuff in a microwave.
We spent most days and evenings out doing other things so we only ever ate or slept at the hotel, however the whole point of coming on holiday is to relax and enjoy yourself. We did for the most part but the hotel and food severley dampened our holiday mood.
We spent a lot of money on this trip and it was a complete let down. Would not pay to stay here if we had known....AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
