“Good sushi at a reasonable price - newly renovated and expanded interior”

We go here for quick lunches and sushi is reasonably priced and of good quality. On occasion my wife will get Chinese and it is okay. They've expanded and remodeled the place which was our complaint in the past and now it is much better although the service has suffered a bit with the expansion. Still think it is good for the area and better than most of the other local sushi places. Staff is always very friendly.

My favorite Asian restaurant. Freshness and menu varieties make you come back for more. The sushi is so fresh!! Just remodeled interior and it looks great and can seat more people. Don't miss this one!

In the hunt for good sushi, Ginger Café does a respectful job. The food is always prepared & presented well and has consistent good flavors. The dining area is small, so I suggest going in the less busy times for better seating and service. They offer Japanese & Chinese cuisines and a bit of Thai flavor.

The Ginger Café, prior to it's remodeling, was recommended to me twice. I've visited two times since they reopened and can't agree. The interior is very nice and the atmosphere is comfortable, definitely a cut above most storefront restaurants. The service during both of my visits was unenthusiastic, uneven and a bit confused even though there were only two or three other tables occupied. I tried the bento box lunch on both visits, General Tsao's chicken the first time and Kung Pao Shrimp supplemented with a "Crazy Roll" the second. The bento box salad was average, egg roll average or a little less, crab puffs very good, wonton soup average and fried rice below average with an almost yeasty flavor. The General Tsao's chicken was puckeringly over-rich with an unpleasant, gooey texture. On the next trip It took two tries to get Kung Pao Shrimp. Inexplicably, Kung Pao Chicken arrived first and was returned. The Kung Pao Shrimp had real possibilities with a nice brothy consistency, lots of crisp chopped veggies, spicy peppers and good looking, fresh tasting shrimp. It had enough sodium though to completely overwhelm and obscure the flavors of what otherwise looked like great dish. The sushi was very good and maybe it's the reason for their devoted following. There's also a small but fun selection of Asian beers. Next time I get a taste for sushi, I'll consider another visit. If I'm looking for Chinese food though, I think I'll keep driving.
