A great meal at a great location. The only minor complaint was that two of the bathrooms were out of order. I will go back with my wife for another meal.

Heather was our server and she was awesome. Other staff members were very attentive and pleasant as well! You have to try the crab hushpuppies!

I have been trying to come here for awhile and when we were celebrating something there never were reservations available. This is too nice of a dinner place for me to want to sit a the bar and eat. We started with the hush puppies and the deviled crab, which both were amazing. My wife had the scallops and the only part she didn't like was the black rice, she has never had it before so she didn't really like the flavor. I had the pork schnitzel which is enough for two people easily. It was by far the best pork schnitzel I've ever had. Then for sides we both had the enchilada, which didn't naturally pair well with our meals. However, it was the best enchilada I have ever had, they really should make a enchilada plate! We will be returning to sample the other items on the menu.

As a first-timer, we tried State of Grace for lunch and were favorably impressed with the food, service and ambiance. We enjoyed the starters and entrée salads. Everything was delicious. Will return for lunch and will also give this restaurant a try for dinner. A nice addition to our local restaurant scene.

Five friends gathered up for Sunday brunch. We like trying new and interesting places and we had read about the new oyster bar in the Westheimer Montrose area. First of all, the service was excellent. The food was superb. The shishitos peppers are marvelous, roasted and serviced with a nice white cheese. I had the grilled oysters and they were superb. Very tasty. The shrimp and grits and the octopus plate were equally as good. The shrimp enchiladas were great. A favorite was the Fajitas con Huevos, served in a cast iron skillet. Just excellent food all throughout the menu. The deserts are all good, we had the sticky toffee pudding and the smoked chocolate sundae. Foodies will really like State of Grace. The wine list is very good and not horribly over priced. I will be back for the happy hour oyster specials.
