We stayed over Mother's Day weekend. We received a late check out at 3pm and stayed in a 2 BR suite. It was a wonderful accommodation, equipped with bathrobes, refrigerator, and a stove for cooking. Perfect for an extended stay. The beds were comfortable and our room had a balcony. It was the perfect space for our family of four. My sister in law also joined us. We have young kids. I would not say that this is the most family friendly hotel, however, they seemed to be accommodating to us as I have a three and a seven year old. They left the kids cookies and milk on the first day with a note addressed to the wrong person thanking us for staying with us. I called several times and asked if the hotel was family friendly as the website did not appeal to the "young families" They said yes. When we checked in the front desk clerk asked our kids to tone it down as some of the guests are sensitive to noise. It was late when we checked in but I did feel as though we were in a museum. One of the kids dove into the pool . I did not see it but my sister in law did and one of the staff abruptly said "Are these your kids?" She said no and he said no diving. I walked to the restroom while this was going on. There might have been one other family there. They did have chicken nuggets on the room service menu, which were 26.00. I would love to go back for a weekend getaway, but I think we will leave the kids behind. It is a perfect spot for a romantic getaway or a girlfriends getaway. We also loved the location to where we needed to be for a graduation ceremony and family gatherings. We did not dine at the restaurant as we were in Houston for family events but it also did not seem that kid friendly for us to attempt to try it out. For families, we may go back to the Houstonian, but did love the space for the price we received at this hotel.More
