Description: The toast of the Texas coast. How can frozen fish be called fresh? The answer for anyone with snap is simple: it can’t. That’s why Gaido’s is the classic choice for fresh Gulf seafood. Patrons know Gaido’s is real, when others are clearly not. From red snapper and blue crab to white tablecloths crumbed with panache, there’s no denying Gaido’s is one-of-a-kind in a world of imitation. Now, after four generations of filleting, frying, grilling and baking, Gaido’s has grown into the picture perfect place of traditions– birthdays, anniversaries, retirements, reunions. As the largest fresh fish house on the coast, Gaido’s can serve up to 2,500 happy diners a day. -– for over 100 years – is truly the coastal classic.

Great food. Prices not so great. Good atmosphere. Sit and look at the water while you dine on some fine cuisine. It is relaxing. Service was good.

You just can't go wrong at Gaido's, but the red snapper is just plain memorable. Great ambiance, friendly staff.

The food, as usual, is phenomenal! The service was so wonderful, but not stuffy. David was our waiter and he made the evening so memorable. He explained the history of the restaurant, the menu choices... He knew everything about every dish (and wine) on the menu. We had 2 birthdays in our group and what an elegant dessert they were served! Our Snapper , Scallops, Catfish and MahiMahi were all wonderful and very plentiful. The desserts were all so good, too! We've all eaten at Gaido's before, but this evening was particularly wonderful. Thank you David and Gaido's!!

Went with a friend and his family as it had been recommended as a great restaurant for his family.
The waiters were very attentive and tried, but the food was not.
Fondue apettizer with goat cheese looked drowned in velveta cheese.
The crab and avocado had a thin slice of avocado and canned tasting crab.
Asked for tossed pasta in olive oil & garlic with my shrimp and got cold fetuchine dry.
The Italian cassata desert was very tasty.
Not going back

Value was very low. My husband ordered the combination plate. He enjoyed everything on his plate. Everything was cooked to perfection. His only complaint is that it was the smallest piece of Snapper he has ever had served at any restaurant, maybe 2oz at the most.

I on the other hand was VERY disappointed. If he ask to go back I will say no. I LOVE crab cakes. I ordered two lump crab cakes. Each crab cake was $13.00 (I just looked at the receipt. My husband paid.) If I seen the price, I would not have eaten, they would have been sent back. There was not enough crab meat in bot of them to make a small crab cake. Mostly breading. I also had to spit several pieces of shell out of my mouth.

Beautiful atmosphere and great service.
