We were blessed to have this Island as a day stop on our Princess Cruise, the waters that surround this island are clear and the different shades of blue complement the white sands and the green palms that swayed in a gentle breeze. The ship anchored out in deep water and the outrigger canoes came out from the shore to welcome us. The tenders were used to carry us back and forth as we arrived at the jetty a welcome sign greeted us into a open area where music was playing with the local band and refreshments could be purchased and eaten at the table and chairs whilst listening to the band. They had a local shop selling souveniers t.shirts, magnets, caps etc. as you made your way out to the beach is where you will find the accommodation huts right on the shore line so beautiful. Here you can swim in the warm waters or take a canoe ride out across the reef to snorkel. For a small amount of kina the young lads will take you out and back, this way it saves the coral from being damaged.
