We checked in to the Savannah's Cottage after booking.com screwed up our booking with Best Western Yarra Valley on the second night of our stay at Warburton. Belinda was lovely to deal with and this cottage is so much better than Best Western; understandably for a much dearer price. The regular rate was $325 but a special rate was offered to booking.com at $295. We had to pay this and we hope to get some reimbursement from booking.com for the variance between Best Western rate of $189 for the second night and the additional cost we had to fork out for Charnwood Cottages.

It's such a nice setting and such a lovely cottage that I can't not give it a 5* despite the price. In normal circumstances, we probably won't pay $325 per night for a regional accommodation.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights in Savannah's Cottage as a mini honeymoon!

Our cottage was very comfy and warm. It had everything we needed, some very generous breakfast provisions, great bed, spa and (I'm told) quality amenities.

Location was perfect, we parked on arrival and didn't use the car until it was time to leave. From the cafes and restaurants to the pub, all had great food and priced accordingly. Of course within walking distance.

Belinda was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back and recommending Charnwood to friends and family.

Three bedroom cottage with enough food for an army. Not a thing missing. Plenty of space and lovely surroundings. Walks in abundance. Wood supply for a fire. Good beds. And the weather was just right too.

Our stay at the charming Ella's Cottage at Charnwood Cottages was just what we needed. Relaxing and private with all the Yarra Valley's attractions a short drive away. The room was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. The breakfast provisions were more than adequate. Highly recommended for a romantic and private getaway.

What a lovely place. A charming and relaxing place stay. So clean well and appointed. The attention to detail and the little extras make for a wonderful break. Great location, privacy and beauty. A short walk across the Yarra via the swing bridge to the shops is so handy. Lovely walk along the track beside the river is worth doing. We rode the Lilydale to Warburton trail and really appreciated the comfort and convenience of the cottage. Highly recommend staying here.
