We stopped for lunch at Food on the Hill on the Monday of a long weekend. It was 1.00 pm but the café was not very busy and we were able to choose our own table. The café became quite busy later while we were eating. The café has a good all day breakfast menu and a lunch menu with Greek dishes as the specialty. We chose the $45 platter of chicken, lamb, sausage and halloumi cheese with a Greek salad and pita bread as accompaniments. Everything was very tasty and the platter was a full meal for the 2 of us. The service was very friendly and prompt. It's a pleasant setting and it was a most enjoyable lunch.

My wife and I ordered a Greek mixed plate for lunch, which included chicken, slow cooked lamb, halloumi, salad and tzakziki.

It was very reasonably priced, and the perfect portion of food for the two of us.
The ingredients were obviously extremely fresh, and the quality of the food was absolutely fantastic with a homey, humble feel.

We couldn’t express how lovely the taste was, and the owners/cooks are friendly people.

The cafe has very comfortable seating indoors and outdoors with nice decor. We sat outside, and on a nice day it is really a nice place to eat in the alcove of shops where the cafe is located.

Cannot speak highly enough of this lovely cafe and it’s delicious, fresh and quality food.

Our lunch stop at "Food on the Hills" proved to be the right choice when we were served with delicious food and great coffee. Greek lamb burgers with Tzatziki, moist Chicken Souvlaki with its soft pitta bread, Scrambled eggs with fat sausages and Greek salad with feta cheese, all delighted the taste buds. Greek coffee, the Latte with Soy milk and the Cappuccino's were really good.

The cafe is not seen in prominence to the out side as it is tucked inside the small Red Hill village shopping centre. It is left to be discovered and worth the visit.

Four of us lunched at Food on the Hill and enjoyed good food, friendly service, casual ambience and a BYO bottle. The lamb was delicious and the open Souvlakis a hearty meal. A tasty shared cake with coffee topped off a pleasant outing. We will be back for some more great food and service.
