From the moment we entered the guest house and met the friendly owners, viewed the comfortable room and pleasant lounge room our dream weekend away started. Clean comfortable and quiet is how I would describe this guesthouse. Close to town, the beach and local tourist attractions, it is the perfect base for a week-end on the southern peninsula.

This is the third time we have visited the Point Lonsdale Guesthouse. Its not the location which is lovely and quiet, nor the century plus building with her age spots and wrinkles, nor the comfy bed with crisp white linen but the welcome we always receive from hosts Sue and Peter. They are friendly and attentive to guests needs and breakfast in the dining room is a daily "event" to which I always look forward. There is a touch of Fawlty Towers at the guesthouse. Do come an experience it.

Lovely quaint old hotel, we went there with a group of friends to celebrate a 60th birthday, the place was comfortable and has two sections the newer back accommodation block and the front existing 1898 building, the added bonus was the pool and guest kitchen area at the back, this enabled us to all get together and socialise away from the other rooms which enabled a good time to be had without disturbing the neighbours. The Hosts were fantastic, served a great breakfast and an excellent evening meal. We had ordered Fish and chips on the Sun night but couldn't get to pick them up, Pete the host offered to take us to get them, this was much appreciated. Overall a great stay and ideally set up for groups who want to stay and go on the Blues train, they provide transport in TUK TUK's
Point Lonsdale shops and cafes are 2 minutes walk as is the ocean beach.

Room tip: The Front section if you want old style accommodation, the back if you want more modern

Would have once been a very lovely old building but certainly needs updating.
Stayed in a 2 bedroom motel room which really is just a room upstairs. While it was clean and the bed linen was lovely it was actually just that 2 rooms with a bathrobe between them.
One chair in the rooms to sit on and no table to use.
Very small rooms.
Tea and coffee facilities provided.
No sea views from balcony.
Don't believe the cost was worth the quality of the venue.
Wouldn't stay again.

Room tip: Wouldn't recommend.

The guest house was absolutely charming, quiet and welcoming. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean, linen was in good condition. The matress on the bed was very worn and lumpy, uncomfortable. A lick of paint would just lift the house. Great views and close to town. Breakfast was divine, lovely fresh fruit yummo.
