Owner description: Brown Brothers Milawa Cellar Door is the nerve centre of new ideas and experimentation within Brown Brothers winery and is the perfect environment for tasting new varieties and wine styles. We grow many varieties of grapes and have an experimental research winery, the Kindergarten, where we produce wines of high quality, but in quantities too small to make available for general release. These are released under the Cellar Door label and are available nowhere else. The range includes limited releases of new varietals, experimental batches and aged wines. Adjacent to the Cellar Door at Milawa, Patricia's Table is a restaurant where you can enjoy a la carte dishes created with local produce to complement Brown Brothers wines. The restaurant has been awarded one star in the Australian Gourmet Traveller 2013 Restaurant Awards and rated 14.5 Out of 20 by The Age Good Food Guide 2013. We also have a relaxed food and wine venue This relaxed environment also provides a space where visitors can spend few hours grazing the menu and working through wine flights and back-vintage tastings.

Booked a ultimate winery experience at the Brown Brother's Winery for hubby's 60th birthday. Tour, Tasting & Three Course Lunch.
The tour guide was lovely taking the time to show us the history of this amazing family business. Lots to see making it a very interesting tour.
Taste testing.... so many wines... different types etc, the assistant spending quality time with us.
Lunch at Patricia's table. Beautiful food accompanied by selected wines. Great friendly service. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting a great day at this King Valley adventure.

A gorgeous winery to visit. Such delicious wines, we bought a box after the pleasant wine tasting, lovely friendly staff. And we even saw a cute little blue wren. Definitely recommend a visit to the lovely and warm cellar door. Thank you Brown Bros for a wonderful visit.

We visited the Cellar Door in early August. Very wintry outside but warm and very welcoming inside.
Splendid decor and layout, immediately impressed. Off season, so very quiet. Staff were nevertheless professional, gracious, knowledgeable and not at all pushy.
Sampled quite a few and bought some, we then moved to a lounge seat before a huge, cosy and very inviting log fire.Offered a complimentary glass while we were there. Bought some more - why not? It's good!.
We had not been to Brown Brothers for many years, but will return soon. This was a Millawa Winter visit highlight.

We came to have lunch in the restaurant one busy Sunday. It was spacious and warm in the dining room and the meals came in a 2 or 3 course bundle. We were greeted by very friendly wait staff and allowed time to select our courses and wines. We chose not to go with the suggested wine to meal listings as some of our party had to drive to Melb afterward, however, we did order a bottle and that was fine too. I ordered a cheese soufle as an entree and it was superb. The men on the table ordered heavy steak and duck dishes which looked and tasted yum. Desserts looked great too, although I was too full to eat them. The day while bright was cool outside, but there were loads of families with children eating outside under cover, the children ensconced in the playground. Others were dotted around on the lawn on bean bags or playing oversized chess. A great place to come, with different things to do and price points for all.
