This is a great lookout to watch the sunset from. A few minutes' walk away are the Balconies, a beautiful rock platform formation. I saw an echidna on the way up there so well worth the dusk visit!

We walked to Reed Lookout and The Balconies and they were spectacular for sure, but for us Boroka Lookout on Mount Difficult Road had the best views! It was easily accessible by foot from the carpark and the view was over the township of Hall's Gap, Lake Bellfield and beyond. It was in extreme heat and the flies were annoying... but so worth the amazing views. The Grampians is such a vast landscape and impossible to cover in a day or two, especially in extremely high temperatures and when there's a lot of hiking involved. Thus, see what you can and put a return trip on the agenda!

Well worth the walk I loved half way along the walk this crazy part with all these stacked stones, I would love some background information on that section! The only reason why I gave this 4 stars and not 5 was I felt it was talked up to be so amazing but in the end I felt like I was just gazing down at the same view of just trees like the views in the car park, I mean it was still amazing but I think i had a totally different vision in my head before going here.

A one kilometre walk along a very well defined and fairly even track leads you to Reeds Lookout where you will see the rock formation of The Balconies. There is also a great view of the valley below. The lookout also appears to be popular with photographers,so don't forget to bring your camera.

This was a fairly short walk. Straight paths mostly. The only challenge really was to battle the never ending flies that attack you from every angle. Was told by locals that flies come out every summer here in australia.
