We live locally and are always keen to support our businesses, Summer and Winter. Today,19th August, we had booked tickets, as told we had to for a visit, to keep everyone safe and socially distanced. For a start we were charged a booking fee which we have never had to pay before and then we arrived at our allocated entry time we were faced with dozens and dozens of people ahead of us. The whole place was crammed in like sardines with many not bothering to wear masks and no staff around to monitor the flow of people. Shabby and run down as if nothing had been done by way of maintenance during the lockdown at all. We had our grandchildren with us whom we had not seen for18 months and had hoped for a good experience as on previous visits .Ripped off to the tune of£45 for what was little more than an hours worth of time. I also feel in this day and age that cares who do such a vital job, are charged virtually full price for entry. Most organisations these days allow carers in for free with a full paying disabled person. Shame on you Pili Palas you`ve lost my custom and I certainly won`t be recommending your facility.

Attended here today with a friend and our children, as a local I know we are still required to wear a face mask in Wales. There were too many to count of those not wearing masks, clearly visitors with no respect for our local rules. When my friend asked her to wear a mask she laughed and said she needed to get a life- disgraceful! I asked the staff why people weren’t being challenged and they were less than interested. Any one would think there wasn’t a killer virus that’s destroyed millions of lives! The bitterly house was over packed, I’m afraid the need to fill the place overtook public safety . The outdoor park was good though!

Enjoyed, easy to find, not too expensive, lovely to see the wildlife in an open space.

Would recommend for families with small children

a lovely day out had with our 4 year old. visted here a few days ago.
had to pre book which a lot of places are doing now because of COVID.

during our stay it didnt seem too packed and there were plenty of things to do to keep our little one busy

from the selection of animals/pets/reptiles/butterflies to the well maintained play areas both inside and out. we really enojoyed ourselves and would definitely come back here again when we are in the area.

We booked last minute on a rainy day to go in the afternoon with our almost 4yr old and 5 month old. We had a lovely time, pretty busy but plenty to spread yourself around to avoid busy spots. Staff were friendly and helpful, the popular soft play was managed really well with a good amount of people let in at once. The children loved the butterflies and all the animals, particularly the snakes! They’ve recently upgraded the play area which was good but slippy in the rain!
