I grew up less than an hour from the #1 rated rib joint in America. Cozy Corner is a step up from even that! Absolutely spectacular ribs. Skip the brisket. It's mediocre at best. the ribs though (and desserts) are phenomenal.

This delicious Memphis BBQ joint is actually located in a time warp where nothing about the interior has changed in 40 years. The brisket is tender and yummo... had a bit more fat on it than I like but seriously good with the tangy sauce. Cheeseburgers were solid but I like "fixins'" and this place didn't have anything more than ketchup and mustard - no tomato, lettuce, onion or pickles - Bah! The french fries were ehhhhhh. The ribs were great and the fried apple fritter was absolutely divine. I'm not a beans or coleslaw fan but I'm sure, if you are, then you'd enjoy. We stayed at the HI Express down the road and hit this place up twice. Consistently good BBQ but don't go here looking for a diverse food selection - they have the staples that they do right and do not deviate. Nothing fancy or frilly but after long days at the Beale Street Music Festival, this place hit the spot. Kind of like going to a weekend BBQ at your Aunt's house... the Aunt who spent some time in Tennessee and worships Elvis.

I took my school group of teens to eat here and we were all amazed just how awesome their bbq was!! Customer service was excellent, but meeting the owner was the best part, as she has 4 generations of her family working there.

The best ribs I have ever had! Everything was delicious! The coleslaw was so good and the corn was amazing!

It looks like a hole-in-the-wall restaurant. If you where to drive by you probably would not think to stop. The inside is plain with just tables and chairs. You place your order from the counter and take your seat and wait for the order to be brought to your table.
However..the barbecue, sides and sweet potato pie are excellent. It easily competes with all the other restaurants in town.
