Exquisite hotel! Amazing details and historical significance. The ducks were a truly unique event and worth the wait.....get there EARLY to guarantee a seat. My son loved the original phone Booth’s on the mezzanine level. The indoor pool was a hit too. Centrally located to everything! Don’t plan on sleeping much, drag bikes, hot rods and thunderstorms kept us up all night, but if you are looking to take in the night life on Beale street then it’s a great location. Overall, we would do it again. Great family stay.

Weekend visit while in Memphis, TN we stayed at the Peobody Hotel. This was our first visit to Memphis. Staying at this hotel gave us easy access to Beale Street and numerous eateries. The Peabody Hotel is known for their “Duck March” which takes place at 11am and 5pm daily. Very nice hotel, pleasant and helpful staff. I highly recommend it if you are attending events in the downtown area of Memphis.

I love older classic hotels like this. Professional staff, great lobby bar, not to mention ducks in the fountain. Rooms were elegant and clean. Service was excellent. I used the workout facility and it was well done, lobby bar was excellent with lots of local draft beers. Located close to Beale street and the roof top view is really cool.. You can see Arkansas and Mississippi across the river.

An afternoon spent in THE Lobby at the Peabody is the stuff of life. Yes, there are ducks... but that isn't the main attraction. The Lobby is the stuff of history and today - all rolled into a beautiful experience. Find a sofa, order a drink, read a book, talk to friends, watch the people, and soak up the grandeur of a magnificent place.

Room Tip: I've never had a bad room at the Peabody and I've been many times over the years.

When I need to see ducks I can stroll a quarter mile to the pond near home, so that is that. When I want to feel special and enjoy the grandeur of an old-fashioned luxury hotel with a fantastic public area and exceptional service and friendliness, there is the Peabody in Memphis. Our package with a group included a buffet breakfast of excellent quality. We did not try their restaurant, but found several we liked nearby. Our room was not large, but similar to other hotels of this historic era. I'm very glad we went up to the roof for the view of town and an inspection of the available event venues. If you wanted to linger you could get a drink from the bar up there. The bar in the main lobby also seemed quite busy, and included a live piano player. I mention that because the next afternoon it was a player piano - sort of faked me out!
