It was open only for dinner from 6 in the evening and it gets really busy so pre booking is highly recommended.

Anyway we went there after a long and busy day - looking forward to our dinner and gosh what a fantastic dinner it turned out to be.

We didn't order any starters as the starters menu is rather uninspiring and went directly for the mains. The pork belly was amazing soft and really tasty, salmon was perfectly done with the cheese sauce complementing perfectly. But the highlight was the venison my sister had ordered. According to her it was amongst the very best she had ever had. Succulent, melt in the mouth, medium rare done to perfection. And the peppercorn sauce just made for a perfect match. My brother in law had the haddock from the today's special which was very nice and tasty but could have done with 30 secs less under the grill - would have been perfect then.

Massive portions so no space desserts unfortunately but no regrets whatsoever.

Go regularly every Tuesday as a meet for fellow bikers, would love to buy food from the van outside but 10 pound for fish and chips is just so so steep, should put a deal on or something as this guarantees more business in the summer months, increasing you profit margins

The popularity of this cosy pub/restaurant speaks largely for itself. Great atmosphere even with limited space between tables. The food is reasonably priced and of excellent quality. The staff there too are very helpful and friendly.

Absolutely no hesitation in recommending this place but suggest travellers book ahead wherever possible.

Hits all the right spots with great beer, tasty food, friendly staff and an extraordinary whisky selection.

Excellent food and the beer is over priced too even if it is locally sourced. You do have to book a table here or you won’t get a seat. I booked a table for 18.30 to then be told that we had to be finished eating by 20.00 as the table was booked for another sitting - Great customer service I think not. We hadn’t even been sat down for ten minutes when the waitress came over 3 different times to take our food order. Disappointed despite a lot of other positive reviews from other travellers. We enjoyed a much better atmosphere and more reasonably priced food and drink at the Loch Ness Inn down the road.
