M & D's Scotlands Theme Park
Reviewed 31 May 2018 via mobile

Great day out. The park itself is not huge or modern however, this is reflected in the price. Larger brand name theme parks in England charge at least double than M&D’s.

Most rides were open and were thoroughly enjoyed by a 6 and 11 year old. Older kids will get bored quickly.

Staff were very nice and at no point did I experience any bad manners - if anything they were great at doing their jobs which is mainly health & safety - actually quite responsible managing the rides and handling food.

Crazy golf was great - did not try the bowling.

Food was great for the price - ham salad sandwich at the cafe was made to order and only £2! Fresh fruit £2 for mix of strawberries, blueberries & grapes. Not a salad to be seen in sight, lots of fast food although who goes to a theme park to enjoy a salad in Scotland!

We had a great time - yes it needs major upgrading - least our kids have now experienced the waltzers from the 80’s and we can compare notes!

We had some family visit from down South so decided with 3 teenagers, 2 babies and 4 adults that we would visit M&D’s as everyone would get suited. Parking was great with lots of it but the park and entrance were not buggy friendly. Couldn’t find a ramp anywhere and often we had to lift the buggies up and down stairs.
Wristband are quite pricey, however the teenagers with us got more than their money’s worth so no real complaints. Lots of eateries to choose from and lots to do so everyone had a great day. Being heavily pregnant I managed to find a seat and watch the world go by me......have to say the slushies were amazing!! Would definitely go back and investigate some more.

We visited here with a group of friends and our children ranging from age 2-9 years old. We arrived early and spent the whole day here easily, there is plenty of rides for younger children which was great and they could go on again and again. Luckily the queues were quiet for getting on rides, we visited on a hot Saturday. The park has plenty f car parking spaces, you can buy tickets there or online. Or you can buy tickets for each ride rather than a wristband for the day. I have read lots about rides breaking down but luckily all worked for us. The log flume, big swings and balloon rides were a hit. Lovely views on the big wheel. We visited Amazonia but this was a waste of money only took us 5 mins to walk around and we didn’t see much which was a shame. Plus kids just wanted to go on the rides. Inside there are arcade machines but we didn’t use any of these. This is were the toilets are also, I think the park would benefit from having toilets at both ends of the park rather than just the one. Park was clean and easy to get around even with buggy’s. I didn’t eat here so not sure about food as we took picnics. We got an ice cream from the van which was great and big portions. Staff ok, not the cheeriest but didn’t bother us. We would return with friends again on a nice day. I reviewed the park average as other larger parks are much much better for similar price.

This place is like a throw back to 80's theme parks only it's one price all in. Me and my girlfriend went on a Sunday. The weather was terrific, the queues reasonable and yes some rides finished early but we got this voucher deal that included mini golf with the tickets and the whole day was great.
Topped it off with Turkish delight flavoured ice cream from the coffee shop. Free parking too, will visit again.
