Visited sunday of the last bank holiday, good atmosphere, food ok, chicken and thyme pie was ok, but miserly on the mash potato and veg. But the biggest shock was the beer price. A pint of Timothy Taylor and a small diet coke.... £7. I almost choked and asked the bar staff to check I was charged correctly. Yep £4.80 for the beer, £2.20 for the small coke. £4.80 for Timothy Taylor??? Jeez, oh well another rip off pub to avoid.

Called here for an impromptu lunch, while crawling along the busy A31, which is just a good stone's throw away. Despite this close proximity to a main Dorset arterial road, the Pub has a nice rural feel to it (admittedly the sun was shining). We were greeted convivially and served quite quickly. The food was good - the fishcakes especially - and priced about right. The one downside was that the twice cooked chips were soggy.

We went for a lunch time meal. They were not very busy but staff around. No welcome when we arrived.
Sat outside. All the tables were dirty. Had to ask for them to clean ours. No apologies and no acknowledgement or even a smile. Meal was ok.

My children booked a meal here for my birthday which was mid week & not in holiday season. On arrival we waited 20 minutes before eventually going to the bar to order our own drinks as none had been offered. We had to wait one hour and twenty minutes for our food order to appear. My Son ordered steak which he described as “pure gristle” and “inedible” and his food arrived cold. To be fair, it was taken off the bill & not charged & they did offer to cook him another but having waited so long for food he declined and went home hungry.
There was just one waitress managing a large section of the restaurant who was working hard & doing her best but “service” was not a word that could be used for this dining experience. Standards have dropped since I was last here which is a shame as it’s a very pretty pub but I won’t be returning.

Thank Teri W

Lambs Green Inn, really Average. We had a brilliant day out at the Thruxton Car Race, lovely sunny day. On the way home thought we would pop into this restuarant. Had our meal, my chicken pie very very hot, but veg /mash on side of plate fairly cold. The table felt sticky, no one came over to us to see if our meals were ok,they weren,t that busy at 6.oclock when we were there. Coffee machine looked really grubby the whole place just seemed not clean really. Would not hurry back there at all.
