My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one week, departing on the 2nd August
We were allocated Room 29, the room could well be classed as the room from hell
The room was unbearably hot, yes we had some hot weather, but this level of heat was unacceptable, compounded by NO AIR CONDITIONING....
We had all windows fully open day and night, we had a hotel providing fan on continuously
The room was just as hot during the night, something very wrong here...
There was a noise that continued throughout our stay, we wondered if this was from a boiler, we were situated above the kitchen, could this have been the culprit !
The heat in Room 29 affected our sleep and there is nothing worse
With having the windows open, this compounded the road noise, which can be substantial, even with a room facing the back of the hotel
This is not a cheap hotel and at £500.00 per night, you should at least be provided with a room which allows you to be comfortable
All other aspects of the hotel were acceptable, food was excellent, staff great
Sadly, we will not return
We made our feelings known upon departure, without any apologies, just not good enough for a so called five star property, stay away !
Should you not heed my advice then watch out
Do not stay in Room 29, named Uncle Walter
My recommendation would be to stay elsewhere and visit this hotel for an evening meal
