My husband & I stayed 2 nights here it was very clean, food good, friendly staff. There was a wedding party below us going on and we had no problems with any noise etc. they enjoyed themselves and we as well did because it was quiet in our room. When making a reservation Zjhaves was very kind and helpful in everyway. Thanks to all of the staff for making our stay a great one. One problem only we had... we was quoted one price for first night stay but the second was much higher rate so beware of this when coming in.

Stayed here after a Bonnie Raitt concert next door (she was fabulous!!!). Quickest trip 'home' after a concert EVER! Very comfortable room. Price was a bit high, but I guess you pay for convenience. Quick check-in. No issues. I don't know how they do it, but when you turn on the water (sink or shower), and turn to get hot water, its there instantly!

Room Tip: get a room away from the elevator, too much traffic. We got one on the west side, so we could sleep in (no sun).

We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Rapid City for three nights last Thursday - Saturday. For the first two nights it was perfect! We had a suite for our 2 year old son and the two of us. The beds were very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay. However, the third night our experience was not as great. We had requested a quiet room and we had it for Thursday and Friday but on Saturday there was a wedding reception. The wedding reception took place in the ballroom underneath our room and throughout the night all we could hear was the base of the music and the DJ. We called the front desk and they said that at 9 PM it was quiet hours at the hotel but we heard the music late into the night. It is a really nice hotel but be careful of your room selection especially if there is a party happening in one of the ballrooms.

Everyone that checked us in was so friendly.

I thought the Cody Holiday Inn Express was bad enough! But I gotta review this stay as, "stay elsewhere"!
After reserving our room via my account at IHG, We arrived at a busy lobby, with hurried agents, paid 199.00 for a 7th floor room, charged 5.00 for limited parking, a preselected breakfast menu for 8.00 apiece! Caveat Emptor!

Mcullaby H, we appreciate the feedback on your stay with us, and I apologize you had a bad experience. We do have a nominal parking fee in line with other downtown hotels due the high demand in the area and the civic center right next door. Unlike Holiday Inn Express brands, the Holiday Inn does not include free continental breakfast, but we have a large made-to-order breakfast menu every day in our full-service restaurant. During the summer season we also have a full breakfast buffet for those on the go. We will continue to work on improving our communication so our guests are aware of parking and our full service restaurant.
