We are a family of five traveling together for a 10 day road trip with a mom, dad, grandma, and 2 kids aged 14 and 11. We stopped by on our way to Custer and it was a great stretch for the legs. They have different artwork made each year with 7 different colors of corn which they grow locally. There is a great movie near the gift shop that gives you information about the history of the corn palace. It was fascinating and a must stop at least once when you are traveling on I-90.

First time here. Free parking nearby, as it was not at all crowded (weekday in May). This is sort of a tourist thing that you need to stop and see if you are traveling on 90. Be sure to walk up stars and see the exhibits there, go onto the auditorium/gym floor and look all around you, too. Enjoyed my visit. The staffer was friendly. Heads up, no one was wearing a mask, if you care about that (I didn't care at all, so no problem). Prob wouldn't go back again, but for sure, stop and see it if you are in town.

The Corn Palace is definitely worth the stop at least once in your life! I was pretty amazed. The outside murals are designed new every year and are constructed with ears of corn. This year's theme was the Centennial of the Corn Palace. Next year (2022) I believe the theme is the circus. The parking was easy, and there were souvenirs of course!

This municipal auditorium with corn cob decorations is not nearly as grotesque as I imagined! It is well done, artistic and creative with surprisingly good taste. Not tourist crude at all.,even though many tourists flock to se it. Pleasantly surprised. And it is free!
