The room was clean and comfortable, typical Springhill Suites. Very close to town if you want to take a short walk. One thing that I do not like about the Springhill Suites is the bathroom layout. the sliding door is opposite the foot of the bed, and it's a glass door. If you turn on the light in the bathroom in the middle of the night, you may as well turn on the room light. Maybe providing a nightlight in the bathroom would resolve this problem? Breakfast was good. Valet parking was a great touch. We arrived after traveling 10 hours and just did not feel like circling for a spot. Friendly staff, too.

Thanks for choosing to stay with us at the SpringHill by Marriott in Deadwood! We are very happy to hear you enjoyed the breakfast and utilized our complimentary valet service. We can look at the bathroom layouts and address the lighting situation. Thanks for your great feedback. We hope you'll come visit us again in Deadwood soon. We appreciate you!

Stopped in deadwood on our family vacation. We were enjoying the pool area when my husband noticed a male watching us from his room window ( 5 upper hotel room windows view the pool room. ) we keep looking up to his window to notice he is eventually using his phone (pics/videos??) as well. Front desk staff notifies the manager who does nothing but make “small talk” with us. Kinda set themselves up for failure with this design if you ask us. Poor customer service, communication & treatment of guests, on the managerial end.

Good day. We sincerely apologize about the issues you experienced in our pool area last night with another guest. We investigated the situation further after you reported it with the front desk and it was handled promptly with everyone's safety in mind. Which manager did you speak with by chance, as I did not get a chance to speak with you? I would like to speak directly with you to gather more facts on the situation, so we can move forward together. I look forward to hearing from you very soon. Very sincerely, -James, GM

We had a fantastic experience here! The staff was friendly, the room was clean, the bed comfortable and we never heard our neighbors or anyone in the hallway..There was a microwave and fridge in our room, which was nice because we stayed for several days...The breakfast was really good and had hot and cold items to choose from. There was also a small bar in the lobby for adult beverages.

This hotel is attached to Cadillac Jack’s Casino and shares 1 small parking lot with the casino, the other 2 attaches hotels and a steakhouse...That was really the only drawback.

It's in a good location right at the eastern edge of downtown Deadwood. A trolley comes by on a timetable I can't recall but for just a buck, you can go to main street with the bars and shops. Now, back to the hotel - our room had a comfy king and separate living area, very spacious. The style was modern and contemporary, not exactly the old west but that's okay. I like indoor plumbing. Speaking of which, the downsides of the bathroom is that there isn't a fan and the large shower stall has no spot for your foot/feet if you want to shave your legs. My hubby had fuzzies legs the whole stay! The horror. But seriously, shaving was quite the challenge. Also, the room rate was a bit high and parking is not free. A bit of a challenge as well due to few spots. Would we stay here again? Yes but it would have to be a good deal. Otherwise, we will probably stay in Spearfish.

We are lifetime platinum and had booked a 5 night stay. Did not receive an upgrade. Hotel did not have lotion. Parking is limited. Left room at 10:30 one morning and returned at 5:00 to an uncleaned room to which we were questioned about having a do not disturb sign on the door. We did not! Staff were not really friendly.
