Beautiful and easily walked in a few hours. Lots of shade trees to make it comfortable in warm weather
Wife and I went on a Saturday after trying two parks with trails and not getting enough steps in. It was very small but had a good array of animals. They are expanding the lions’ exhibit and that is good. My favorite was the park ranger who caught a rat snake (5’to 6’) in the chicken exhibit. She measured it and took pictures to the amusement of everyone there.
Very good zoo to spend the day with grandkids. Zoo is small but very nice. Also, the grandkids love the playground just outside.
Love this smaller,i timate setting zoo with added bonus playground near entrance... but just a few reminders before you go. Toddlers love the hills and love to run but not on asphalt...tennis shoes or strollers are great for little ones and you may even get a work out in too! May even get to work out those arms picking up your kiddos to see the monkeys! But overall a very convenient, smaller zoo that is a great 1/2 day to enjoy...Have fun!
I grew up going to this zoo and i must say over the time it had become wack...there isn’t much there to see and it hasn’t been updated at all and my kids hate it. I’ll continue driving to Columbia zoo until it gets better
Yes, it takes about an hour to an hour and a half to see all the animals and exhibits. From the lazy kinda to the hanging ape to lots of mid sized birds and animals it is an enjoyable walk. If you're a photographer, bring a long lens to get close ups. It's a wonderful part of Greenville.
