My husband and I stayed for a few days for a murder mystery weekend. The murder mystery part was excellent! Each day more clues were given to figure out who committed the crime! We were very pleased with that aspect. The hotel room was another story. It truly was reminiscent of other negative reviews. While I understand the building is historical and very old, there are certain things I cannot stand! The bathroom was horrendous. I really should have taken pictures. Wallpaper was coming up and tiles were broken. But the absolute worst part was the shower. When you stepped into the shower (without the water running) immediately you heard a sloshing sound and the bottom of the tub gave way a little bit. This freaked my husband and I out so much we did not take any showers! The bed was actually very comfortable! We enjoyed the main restaurant and thought the restaurant at the entrance was very good too. You could even get drinks to go! The little cafe did not have much because of covid but they did have warm apple cider which was perfect for the freezing cold weather! Overall we had a good time, but accommodations could be much improved. The much needed fixes made it seem like the bathroom was dirty, unkempt and unusable.
