“Simply Beautiful”
Review of Ernst Trail

Ernst Trail
Reviewed 31 May 2018

If you like to walk or bike, this is a great place to do it. The trail takes you through a variety of environments from swamp to meadow to deciduous forest. The trail is mostly paved although it's possible to take a walk through a part that's still under development and not yet paved. It's absolutely beautiful and a real gem.

We didn’t have a lot of time so we only walked one mile out & back but it was a pretty walk. The path was flat & paved. I wore my baby in a carrier but the trail would be great for a stroller. The covered bridge is cute. Stop by if you have a chance.

Paved, flat, wooded. Much of it along French Creek. Well maintained, safe environment.
Many walkers as well as bicycle riders.

We started at the Bean's parking area and rode as far as the Mercer Pike parking area. It was nice because we rode mostly in the shade and were able to stop for a rest if we wanted to.

Very nice trail. Mostly wooded. No steep inclines. Just be mindful, about 3 miles in from the trail head by home depot, you have to cross a couple roads. The trail is 5 miles long. Very easy biking.
